Date of Assessment: 15 December to 24 December 2025. Roby House Care Centre is a residential care home providing personal and nursing care to a maximum of 55 people. At the time of our assessment 51 people resided at the home, some people were living with dementia. We undertook this assessment because we received information which indicated people may not be receiving safe care when eating and drinking. We found people were assisted safely when eating and drinking and staff understood and followed guidance provided from other professionals. However, we did find some improvements were needed to monitor and ensure the quality of record keeping around other aspects of peoples care needs was maintained. People had detailed risk assessments and care plans in place. Changes were made as people’s needs changed and staff received the training they needed to support people safely and effectively. People received their medicines as prescribed and were supported to access healthcare and other specialist services. Staff worked with other professionals and organisations to ensure positive outcomes were achieved for people. Staff felt supported. The registered manager was fairly new in post and was open, transparent and receptive to our feedback. They demonstrated a commitment to ensuring people received high quality care.
