Updated 6 October 2025
We carried out this announced inspection on 14 November 2025.
We found the practice had not met all regulations.
The practice did not have effective systems to manage risks, and infection control procedures did not follow published guidance.
The practice did not have a sufficient number of suitably qualified, skilled and experienced staff.
Recruitment procedures did not fully reflect current legislation and there was ineffective leadership and a lack of culture of continuous improvement.
Care and treatment provided to patients were not accurately recorded in the patient care records.
Due to the focussed nature of the on-site visit, we did not gather sufficient evidence to report on the key questions of Caring and Responsive.
The practice is in the London Borough of Barnet and provides private dental care and treatment for adults and children.
There was step-free access to the practice and car parking spaces available, including dedicated parking for disabled people, near the practice.
The practice had 1 treatment room. At the time of our inspection, there was a total of 3 staff, of which there was 1 dental therapist and 2 part time receptionists. During the inspection we spoke with the dental therapist, who was also the registered individual provider and the practice principal.
The provider was not complying with regulations 12 (Safe care and treatment) and 17 (Good governance of the Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014. Full details of the regulations the provider was not meeting are within the inspection report.
In instances where CQC has begun a process of regulatory action, we may publish this information on our website after any representations and/or appeals have been concluded, if the action has been taken forward.
