Our view of the service

Date of assessment: 16 October 2025. City Health Campus, Sandwell and West Birmingham Hospitals NHS Trust, provides a range of NHS hospital services. This assessment looked at surgery services at the Birmingham and Midland Eye Centre, which we rated as Good. The rating of surgery has been combined with the ratings of the other services from the last inspections. See our previous reports to get a full picture of all the other services at City Health Campus. The rating of City Health Campus remains requires improvement. In our assessment of surgery services, we found a breach of regulation in relation to completion of mandatory training.
