Our view of the service
Date of Assessment: November 01 2025 to November 10 2025.
Beacon Medical Centre is a GP practice and delivers service to 4,412 under a contract held with NHS England. The National General Practice Profiles states that 73.4% White, 11.9% Black, 8.3% Asian, 4.1% mixed, 2.3% other non-White ethnic groups. Information published by Office for Health Improvement and Disparities shows that deprivation within the practice population group is in the first decile (1 of 10). The lower the decile, the more deprived the practice population is relative to others. This assessment considered the demographics of the people using Beacon Medical Centre, the context Beacon Medical Centre was working within and how this impacted service delivery. People's experience of this service
People were positive about the quality of their care and treatment. Recent survey results, including from the National GP Patient Survey and the NHS Friends and Family Test, showed people were satisfied with services. There was an active patient participation group (PPG) who represented the views of people using Beacon Medical Centre. Representatives from the PPG described how managers made positive changes because of feedback, such as implementing a new telephony service and website to improve accessibility and make it easier to book appointments.
